Watchet is an ancient harbour town nested between Exmoor National Park and the Quantocks in the South Westof England. Watchet is a lively town that is steeped in history. It is one of 10 stations along the West Somerset Railway. Steam trains can be seen from the apartments travellingbetween Taunton and Minehead. Watchet marina was converted in 2001. The original has a past, which stretches over hundreds of years. THE AREA This part of Somerset is dominated by two outstanding hill ranges, the Brendons and the Quantocks, which givethe whole area an ever changing array of colours and scenery as the seasons changes. Both ranges and thecoastline offer exceptional walking and many forms of wildlife for the nature lovers. Stretching out beyond to the south is the stunning Exmoor National Park. The promenade and harbour area are walking distance from the development and offer a range of shops cateringfor daily provisions, cafes, resturants and public houses. With the main line A358, Taunton to Minehead road passing Watchet it provides easy access to all local towns aswell as the fabulous countryside. With a full range of schools catering for age groups reception, infant, junior school and the middle school inWilliton is walking distance from the St Decumans apartments. West Somerset Community College is located inMinehead for age 13-18.
